I am honored that you have chosen to visit our website and learn more about NCBW's role in the Harrisburg community. Our mission is “To advocate on behalf of black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment.”
NCBW Inc., is a long-standing non-profit organization in existence since 1981; to date there are 61 chapters with over 2800 members. The Harrisburg Chapter has been serving the Central Pennsylvania community since 2012. We represent a group of women with a shared goal to empower and enhance the lives of women by focusing on advocacy in the areas of education, health, economic empowerment and gender inequality.
It is my privilege to represent the NCBW Inc., Harrisburg Chapter as President. It is my desire that the Harrisburg Chapter of NCBW continues to build on National initiatives, develop meaningful programs, promote leadership and remain committed to advocacy. Although, we are making great strides, there is still a lot of work yet to be done to bridge disparity gaps.
With our goal to educate and empower women, we are a greater force together! We are always looking for a few good professional like-minded women to join hands with us to tackle long standing issues. Take a moment to review our events and get involved pages to see how you can become involved with supporting our advocacy events and/or becoming a member.
Please consider adding NCBW Harrisburg Chapter to your charitable giving to support our advocacy and programs. We are a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization and your contributions are tax deductible. We are truly grateful for each donator/sponsor for assisting us in making our community programs possible.
Thank you in advance for your support!
